Employee Settlement Agreements

Are you facing redundancy or a workplace dispute? Have you been offered a settlement agreement?

If your employer has offered you a settlement agreement to sign, they will usually contribute towards the cost of obtaining independent legal advice, and we can provide the advice you need.

We will ensure that you understand the terms of the agreement, the claims you will be giving up by signing it, and whether the terms offered are fair in the circumstances. Where appropriate, we can also negotiate with your employer or their solicitors to seek improved terms on your behalf.

We will send our invoice directly to your employer, and in the majority of cases their contribution will cover the full cost of the advice provided. If we believe our fees are likely to exceed your employer's contribution, for example because further negotiations are required, we will discuss this with you before any additional work is undertaken.

If you are happy with the terms of the agreement, the process of obtaining legal advice is quick and straightforward. If you are working to a tight deadline, we will ensure the advice is provided promptly so that the agreement can be completed without unnecessary delay.
